Airborne!

Tyler is Airborne qualified, which means he is qualified to jump out of airplanes with the Army. A few weeks ago, families got to go to the Drop Zone and watch the jump. For a variety of reasons I have never had the opportunity to see Tyler jump, so I was super excited to witness the drop.

The airplanes passed the Drop Zone three times. The first pass dropped heavy equipment. The second and third passes dropped people. Fortunately everyone landed safely!!

The birds approaching for pass one.

 Passing over.

If you look carefully, you can see the parachute flying out of the back of the plane.

Again look for the parachute.

Heavy things .. not sure what they are, but they weren't people.

Almost down.

Safely on the ground.

Pass two or three.

They jump out of two doors, and from the ground it looks like they are so very close together.

Falling.

Maybe Tyler?!

Web Site Rut

Hello fun friends! I hope you are well. I love the internet and the wealth of information that is literally at your fingertips, but I seriously get into an overwhelmed rut sometimes because of the limitless options. So, I'm asking you to help me out of that rut ... what are some of your favorite web sites? How do you peruse the internet to find new fun things? Do you have any "must-adds" to my bookmark list?!

Thanks for the help; have a great day!

Happy Anniversary!

Last Tuesday, Tyler and I celebrated three blissful years of marriage! We could not have had a better day. Tyler did work, but we were fortunate enough to have breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Tyler took me to a nice restaurant where I had halibut cheeks (YUM!) and he had Prime Rib (his favorite!). Below are some pictures from our night out on the town. We apologize for the quality ... they were taken with a phone.

Frolicking Friday

The last few weeks have been super sunny, and we've had to water our yard to keep it green and fluffy. Our sweet, water-loving lab LOVES the water sprinkler, but  because she gets a bit smelly when she's wet, we don't let her play in the water often. Last week I decided to be nice and let her play while I sat and soaked up the sun and read. I found her excitement really funny. She has no care for anything else when the water is on.

I hope you think it is pretty funny, too. Happy weekend!

It's Anniversary Time!!

Three years ago Tyler and I were married. I honestly cannot believe that three years have gone by since I walked down the aisle to my handsome groom. The last three years have brought exciting adventures, a deepened friendship with each other,  a peaceful home routine and more laughter than can be documented.

I truly am so very lucky to have married my best friend, and continue to thank God for his friendship, his love and loyalty to me in everything he does. The next three years will bring children, more moves and added Army responsibilities, but I cannot wait to continue walking alongside him and to see what the good Lord has in store for us.

Old School ... months after we began dating.

Shortly after we were married.

Playing with our first addition, Bella. I know he will be an incredible Daddy to our sweet children.

Home is where we are.

Home together!!

She's Named!!

Baby Van Zandt is named, and we are sharing with the world!! I apologize that this wasn't posted "tomorrow," as previously stated, but I just cannot stand to scan things into my computer. Those of you who know me well know that if I don't like to do it, I avoid the task at all costs. Without further ado ....

23 Weeks

Hello 23 weeks and blog-deprived friends who still faithfully read!! There is most certainly a little one growing inside me, and I love, love all that is happening to show that she is healthy! I began to really "pop-out" two weeks ago. At that time, the additional tummy was cute if you knew I was pregnant, but questionable if you didn't .. some may have thought I'd had a few too many sweets. Fortunately, now I am gaining a pregnancy shape, and enjoying every minute of it!

Fun Facts:
  • I wore my first pair of maternity pants today, and they were oh.so.comfortable. Notice them in the pictures below.
  • I feel great. Aside from getting tired some afternoons, I really feel like myself.
  • Baby girl is MOVING!! Feeling her move is the most bizarre/miraculous thing ever. Tyler finally got to feel her move last weekend, and that was really neat.
  • We have bought one, yes, just one, thing for our sweet girl. Not that we want to deprive her, but Tyler and I have been blessed with extreme self-control in purchasing goodies for our babe.
  • Together with Tyler, my mother and grandmother I have begun planning sweet girl's nursery!
  • Baby girl is named and we're sharing ... tune in tomorrow for that special announcement!
I'll leave you with a few pictures of how we are growing! Happy June ... only four more months to go!

Beginning to show from the front, too!
