We had the privilege to travel two weekends ago to Fairbanks, Alaska. The drive was quite long, but beautiful. We traveled on the Parks highway, an absolutely beautiful drive, which took us from Fort Richardson through Denali National Park to Fairbanks. The sky was unusually clear and the sun was just rising as we passed Mt. McKinley, aka Denali. We stopped several times to take pictures and just observe the shear beauty that exists in these giant mountains. Although the pictures do not do the mountain justice, here is a glimpse of the tallest mountain in North American ... Mt. McKinley.

You were very lucky to see the summit of McKinley. Most of the time it is covered with the clouds.
these are beautiful!! They don't even look real! I'll have to share with Will because he has always wanted to see it, but has only seen it from above from a plane window. ;)
Mimi and I toured Alaska years ago and spent a day at Denali Park. But we never saw Mt. McKinley.
Thanks for the great pictures !!
Keep blogging about your adventures traveling that beautiful State.
Love from us both, Pop Pop V.Z.
